Requesting an Interpreter

An employee, visitor, or guest is required to contact the ADA Coordinator as soon as possible but must provide at least a 48-hour notice to arrange interpreting services. Any change to a scheduled service should be reported immediately to the ADA Coordinator. In addition, and upon request, the university will provide interpreting services for meetings, plays, presentations, or other functions sponsored by the university at no charge. While we will consider individual preferences in the assignment of interpreters, we reserve the right to make all interpreter assignments. These assignments may be based upon many factors which include availability, certification, qualification, and appropriateness of the request based on actual or perceived conflicts of interest.
