There are several tools available to help you test your digital content to make sure it is accessible.

SiteImprove

SiteImprove is an automated website accessibility tool that is available to check the accessibility of ECU managed websites. SiteImprove can also detect broken links and misspellings on your site. You may request access to SiteImprove by submitting a TeamDynamix ticket.

Color Contrast Checkers

WebAIM Contrast Checker

The WebAIM Contrast Checker is a web-based tool that allows you to check the contrast between a foreground and background color. To use this tool, you will need the hexadecimal codes for the colors you are testing.

TPGi Colour Contrast Analyser

The TPGi Colour Contrast Analyser is a free download that allows you to check the contrast between a foreground and background color. After downloading, the tool allows you to use an eye dropper to select your foreground and background colors.

Screen Readers

Testing your digital content with a screen reader will help you understand how users of assistive technology may experience your content. There are several free screen readers available. Note: Using a screen reader for accessibility testing takes some practice. Be sure to complete the tutorials on how to use the screen reader you choose.
