Digital Accessibility

East Carolina University is committed to ensuring equal opportunity in its educational and administrative services, programs, and activities in accordance with federal and state law. The University is dedicated to providing accessibility in electronic and information technologies, including the digital experiences for all users.

There is joint responsibility between Information Technology and Computing Services (ITCS), University Communications, the Office of Disability Support Services, and the Office of the ADA Coordinator to ensure web page or web-based resources are accessible to individuals with disabilities, and to oversee institutional adherence to ECU’s Digital Accessibility Regulation.

To better assist the campus community in creating and maintaining accessible digital materials and environments, please see ECU’s Digital Accessibility Regulation for more information.

Report a Digital Access Barrier

Individuals who encounter a disability-related barrier or access concern with digital materials, content, or technology may report using the Digital Access Barrier form: Report a Barrier

Upon receipt, web page administrators will conduct a timely and impartial review of the access concern. Relevant campus administrators, including ECU’s ADA Coordinator, will be consulted as needed to resolve barriers.  ECU will provide an initial response to the individual submitting the concern within two (2) business days, including effective communication of any content the user could not access.  ECU will work to resolve the concern within seven (7) business days by either remediating or resolving the access barrier and provide notice of the resolution to the submitter.

For access assistance with passwords or wifi access and for general technical support, please submit a service request.
